The 5 Min. Blog Post

Don’t let time stop you from being a great and consistent blogger. Blogging doesn’t have to be an arduous task that you dread every day.

Norman Wright Jr | Blog GraphicIt seems as if every time I advise a client to start a blog, they roll their eyes and tell me that they don’t have time or they aren’t a very good writer.

Most people look at blog writing as a very pain-staking, time consuming task or they think that they won’t have anything to write about. Well, if you can’t think of anything to write about that can add value to your prospects & customers, you may want to consider a new vocation. I am sure that you have a lot of opinions on how to improve your industry– Don’t you? Also, you need to understand that your customers want to know your thoughts and company’s philosophy. They want to know what makes your company different from your competitors. More on that in another post.

Norman Wright Jr | Dragon DictationAs far as having enough time… In this modern age of technology and smart phone capabilities, we have access to a wide variety of free or inexpensive tools that we can use to help increase our productivity. There is a very useful smart phone app called Dragon Dictation that you can download for free (it’s also available on other smart phones as well). This dictation software enables you to speak your thoughts so you don’t have to sit in front of a keyboard and compose your message. By speaking freely about your topic, you will be able to get though paragraphs of information in a matter of minutes. This type of application can give you a clear and concise message with 99% accuracy. Now you don’t have to use the “lack of time excuse” for not sharing your thoughts with the world.

Leveraging this simple smart phone app will enable you to focus more on our message rather than trying to compose at the keys.  I like to use dictation software to put threads of thoughts together, then I send myself an e-mail, copy and past the information in to my blog software, tweak it a bit to my liking and then publish.

It’s that simple– My blogging becomes quick, easy and valuable to my subscribers.

Try it for yourself and get back to me with your comments on how it has helped you. I’d really like to hear about it.
